Dog Advocates of Massachusetts is dedicated to ending the sale of puppy mill puppies in Massachusetts retail pet stores. Through evidence and activism, we expose the truth about puppy mills and the Massachusetts’ retail pet stores that sell puppies from them. We believe the puppy mill-to-pet store model is unethical, dishonest, and cruel. We believe the adoption/rescue model is the best way to ensure dogs are treated with compassion, care, and love.
Our Mission
Dog Advocates of Massachusetts seeks to educate the public on puppy mills and their connection to Massachusetts’ pet stores while fighting to eradicate the sale of puppy mill puppies throughout the state. All Massachusetts pet stores selling puppies acquire these puppies from puppy mills. Our goal is to break the puppy mill to pet store pipeline by strongly encouraging people to adopt and rescue, as well as pass legislation in Massachusetts banning the retail sale of dogs in pet stores.
